1. Information We Collect

We collect information you voluntarily give us, including:

• Contact and Account Information: Name, email address, company name, business type, and any other details you submit through our signup, waitlist, or contact forms.
• Communications: Information you provide when you contact us directly (e.g., support requests, feedback, DMs, or emails).
• Photos and Images: If you use or sign up to use our AI-powered inventory features, we may collect photos or images you upload of your inventory items ("Inventory Images").

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

When you visit the Site, we and our service providers may automatically collect certain information, including:

• Usage Data: Pages visited, time spent on pages, links clicked, referring/exit pages, and general browsing behavior.
• Device Information: IP address, browser type, operating system, and device identifiers.
• Cookies and Similar Technologies: We use cookies and similar tracking technologies (such as web beacons and pixels) to operate and improve the Site. See Section 4 below.

We may receive information about you from third-party services we use, such as analytics providers or email delivery platforms, as described below.

• Develop and improve our AI-powered features, including using Inventory Images to train, test, and improve item-recognition and photo-to-log functionality;
• Analyze usage trends and Site performance;
• Detect, prevent, and address technical issues, fraud, or security concerns;
• Comply with legal obligations.

3. AI Photo Processing

A core feature of Inventorly involves AI-assisted item entry, where photos of inventory items are analyzed to automatically log and categorize them. When you upload an Inventory Image:

• The image may be processed by our AI systems, which may include third-party AI/machine learning service providers, to identify, describe, or categorize the item(s) shown.
• We take reasonable steps to ensure any third-party AI providers we use are contractually obligated to handle your data securely and are restricted from using it for purposes beyond providing the service to us.
• We do not knowingly use Inventory Images to identify individual people, and we ask that you avoid uploading images containing identifiable people or sensitive personal information.

Note: Specific AI vendor name(s), image retention periods, and whether Inventory Images are used to train third-party models generally (versus only to serve your account) will be confirmed and listed here once our AI vendors are finalized.

4. Cookies, Analytics, and Marketing Tools

We use the following types of tools to understand how visitors use the Site and to communicate with you:

• Analytics: We use analytics services (including Vercel Analytics) to collect information about how visitors interact with the Site, including pages viewed and time spent. This data is generally aggregated and does not directly identify you.
• Email Communications: If you sign up for our waitlist or provide your email, we use an email delivery platform (currently Resend) to send you updates, launch announcements, and related communications. Every marketing email includes an option to unsubscribe.
• Cookies: Cookies are small text files stored on your device. You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings; note that some features of the Site may not function properly without cookies.

5. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information in the following circumstances:

• Service Providers: With third-party vendors who perform services on our behalf, such as hosting, analytics, email delivery, and AI/image processing (see Section 3).
• Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
• Legal Requirements: If required to do so by law, regulation, or valid legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Inventorly, our users, or others.

We retain personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. Inventory Images may be retained to support your account and improve our AI features; you may request deletion as described in Section 7.

Depending on your location, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information, which may include the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you;
• Request correction or deletion of your personal information;
• Object to or restrict certain processing;
• Withdraw consent (e.g., unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time via the link in our emails);
• Request a copy of your data in a portable format.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. International Users and Regional Disclosures

• EU/EEA/UK Visitors (GDPR): Our legal basis for processing your data includes consent, performance of a contract, and legitimate interests. You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
• California Residents (CCPA/CPRA): You have the right to know what personal information is collected, to request deletion, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (Inventorly does not sell personal information).

10. Children's Privacy

The Site and Services are not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 where applicable), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

The Site may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party sites you visit.
